Sponsorship

Reach families at the exact moment they commit to studying abroad.

Every year, thousands of West and East African families walk into our rooms having already decided to send a child overseas. They arrive needing forex, tuition transfers, flights, insurance, test preparation, laptops and accommodation. Sponsorship puts you in front of them at the point of decision — not three ads earlier.

Why this audience

You cannot buy this audience with a display campaign.

Overseas study is one of the largest discretionary purchases an African household makes — often $20,000 or more per year, paid in foreign currency, over three to four years. The families in our rooms have already made that decision. They are simply working out how.

That is a buying context you cannot target on a media platform, because intent this specific does not show up reliably in behavioural data. It shows up in a hotel function room in Ikeja on a Saturday morning.

Who is in the room

  • Students aged 16–30Secondary leavers, undergraduates, graduates and working professionals.
  • Parents and guardiansThe people actually signing the cheques — and opening the accounts.
  • School principals and counsellorsGatekeepers who advise hundreds of families each year.
  • Government education officialsScholarship boards and ministry representatives.
  • Education fund representativesOrganisations financing overseas study at scale.
  • Accredited institutionsThree to eight overseas schools and universities per fair, plus their staff.

Packages

Three ways to partner

Sponsorship is built around your market, not a fixed template. These are the three structures we work with most often — each can be shaped around specific cities, categories or activation formats.

City

City Partner

One fair, one city

On application

  • Branding at the venue — banners, standees, backdrop
  • Logo on all pre-fair promotion for that city
  • Exhibition space on the floor
  • Inclusion in the fair programme
  • Mention in the pre-fair radio interview
  • Post-event attendance and engagement report

Most common

  • Category exclusivity available

Title

Title Partner

On application

  • Naming rights alongside ours
  • Guaranteed category exclusivity
  • Co-branded market report and research
  • First-position branding in all channels

Category exclusivityWe limit sponsors by category, so a bank does not share a room with three other banks. Included at Title level and available at Season level, subject to availability.

Natural fits

Categories that work here

The strongest partnerships solve a problem the family already knows they have. These are the categories attendees ask us about unprompted, every season.

Banking & forex

Domiciliary accounts, tuition transfers, proof-of-funds and student cards.

Airlines & travel

Student fares, extra baggage and one-way routes to study destinations.

Test preparation

IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, GRE and GMAT — required by nearly every institution in the room.

Insurance

Travel, health and study-interruption cover, often a visa requirement.

Student housing

Accommodation platforms and guarantor services in destination countries.

Telecoms

International roaming, data bundles and family calling plans.

Technology

Laptops, software and student hardware financing.

Education finance

Student loans, scholarship funds and payment-plan providers.

Where your brand appears

Six channels, before anyone walks in

Every fair runs the same campaign in the weeks beforehand. Sponsors appear across it — so the value starts long before the doors open.

Press

Advertisements in major local newspapers across each host city.

Social

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X, targeted by city and study interest.

Direct mail

To parents, students, local agents, school principals and partners.

On the ground

Flyers, posters, banners and standees in secondary schools and agent offices.

SMS

Brand-name SMS to our standing student and parent databases.

Broadcast

TV and radio announcements, with interview slots for partners.

Process

How a partnership comes together

Typically four to six weeks from first conversation to signed agreement. Sponsorship for the October season should be agreed by the end of August.
